Introduction to Business & Innovation Center for China-Europe Cooperation

Situated in the Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone with the highest economic extroversion in Chengdu and most modern urban form with convenient traffic, CCEC (Exchange Center of "the Belt and Road Initiative") has a total investment of about RMB 3 billion, a total construction area of 210,000 m2, and a height of 192 m. In May 2017, Chengdu, European Commission, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly started its operation. It is the permanent venue for the EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation Fair. The floors B3 to F15 of the Center are planned as the Europe Exchange Center, which are especially designed for agencies in China that belong to European political, commercial, cultural and educational institutes, as well as international supporting facilities such as the European Culture and Art Center, the "Belt and Road Initiative" Exhibition Center and the Free Trade Zone Service Hall. The floors F16 to F29 of the Center are planned as the Europe Trade Center, which gathers headquarters of transnational enterprises, supply chain finance enterprises and other famous enterprises. The floors F30 to F46 of the Center are planned as the Europe Service Center, which has service facilities such as five-star hotels and international conference center. It has gathered 174 organizations and enterprises, and 36 international well-known organizations and enterprises settled in the Center, such as the United Nations Development Programme, UNIDO ITPO Western China Regional Coordination Center, the Chengdu Representative Office of Bavaria, Germany, the Headquarter of Norway Opera in China, the Sigfox Internet of Things Inc. of France, the Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center, the Asia-Pacific Headquarters of VERTU Global of the UK and the Germany Visa Center.
As a new banner for opening up to the outside world of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and a new platform for accelerating the construction of new western land-sea corridor, CCEC takes the initiative to serve the national strategy of opening up to the outside world, builds a state-level platform for opening up and cooperation with Europe with the core function of "trade center, exchange center, and service center for Europe", highlights regional project cooperation between China and Europe, and builds the "fourth pillar" of Sino-European cooperation relations. CCEC is making every effort to promote the all-round cooperation between China and EU in capital, technology, talent and logistics, and playing an active role in the big picture of "expanding in four directions and opening up in whole region". It is established with the first foreign-related "free trade zone government affairs service hall" in the West China. Covering an area of 670 m2. It focuses on creating an international business environment that is in line with international standards, national laws and regulations, and streamlined procedures, and sets up a government affairs service area (10 service windows) to handle the administrative approval of more than 180 items. It is the first of its kind in China to provide three types of services, namely "government affairs services, intermediary services and daily life services", for "foreign-related enterprises, transnational organizations, and foreigners" through three service modes: online, offline and self-services.
